The scale of the proposal references the height and mass of surrounding buildings and aims to create a development that relates to the context of the site by taking into consideration the urban grain and stepped ridgelines of the adjacent buildings.

 

The two proposed mews houses break up the existing built mass on the site. The separation between blocks introduces new visual links and transparency that was not previously present and will be landscape to enhance the communal courtyard space.

The buildings would be three-storey high but they wit at a lower level than the neighbouring with space provided in the roof. The design combines contemporary with tradition along with the use of high-quality materials, which will enhance the character of the area and Everton Road.
