TEXT

The project at Canberra Road involved the demolition of an existing poorly designed rear extension and an underutilised side garage. We achieved a total transformation of this family home with a new ground-floor addition, a loft extension, and a complete house refurbishment.

At the ground floor, the proposal was to move the kitchen zone to the front of the house and create a stunning living and dining area, which enjoys the south-facing orientation, at the back of the property.

On the first floor, the existing bedrooms were refurbished for the two teenage daughters, and the loft extension provided an extra master bedroom with an ensuite for the parents.

The overall aim of this family was to improve their home to the contemporary way of living and create a 'clutter-free' home which adapts to the new family phase, leaving behind a home governed by two children and getting ready for the new two young adults.
