St Asaph Road
(brockley)

TEXT

For this project, we accompanied our client from the concept stage up to completion on-site. We were given the brief to reimagine the existing family flat situated on the first floor of a terraced property in South London.

The overall aim was to create extra living space for a growing family and rearrange the existing spaces in a more efficient way, adapted to their contemporary way of living.

On the existing level, the key proposal was to connect the kitchen and the living/dining room; the open-plan layout enhances sociability and improves the old, dark cooking space, making the space feel larger and also encouraging easier movement and collaboration.

By adding an extra storey to this home, we achieved an extra master bedroom, another single bedroom, and a complete bathroom.

The selected finishes were neutral colour for walls, natural timber floor finish and elegant stone tiles for the bathrooms.
